Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens

Explore 17 acres of themed gardens telling the history of the local area through a horticultural perspective. The Victorian garden, Acadian House and Rose Garden are special features not to be missed in this world-class garden.

Fort Anne National Historic Site

Stroll through Canada’s oldest national historic site. This park played a very important role in Canadian history acting as a battleground between Europe’s empire builders. Explore the uniquely star-shaped grounds overlooking the Annapolis River and visit the exhibits displayed in the museum.

Port Royal Habitation

One of North America’s earliest settlements discovered by the French in the 17th century. This national park features costumed interpreters, period demonstrations and visitors can explore the reconstructed museum.

Kejimkujik National Park

This national park is a nature lovers paradise featuring campsites, walking trails, canoe routes and warm lake swimming. This park is a 45 minute drive inland from Annapolis Royal.

Candlelight Graveyard Tour

Annapolis Royal Farmers and Traders Market

This outdoor market is not to be missed by visitors wanting to buy local goods and produce. Open every Saturday from 8am – 1pm (May-October) and Wednesday’s 10am-2 pm (July & August).

Tidal Power Generating Station

Visit North America’s only tidal generating station absorbing power from the large Annapolis Basin tides. This station also serves as the towns visitor centre and features an exhibit.

Enjoy a walk exploring Annapolis Royal’s historic downtown lined with unique shops, galleries and, restaurants. Circle back by taking the waterfront boardwalk along the Annapolis River.
